Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and mentor a team of junior merchandisers.
∎ Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure efficiency.
∎ Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
∎ Develop and implement merchandising strategies to achieve business goals.
∎ Plan seasonal and promotional product lines in collaboration with the design and sales teams.
∎ Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to minimize costs and meet buyer needs.
∎ Conduct high-level negotiations with key suppliers and buyers.
∎ Establish long-term partnerships and agreements to benefit the company.
∎ Prepare and manage budgets for merchandising activities.
∎ Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement and production.
∎ Identify areas for improvement in the merchandising process.
∎ Implement new systems and technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
∎ Analyze performance metrics and report findings to senior management.
∎ Assess and mitigate risks related to production delays, quality issues, and supply chain disruptions.
∎ Develop contingency plans to address potential problems.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
∎ Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or complaints.
∎ Seek opportunities to expand business with existing clients.
∎ Any other task assigned by management.
∎ In addition to the responsibilities of a Merchandiser, a Senior Merchandiser typically handles more advanced tasks and supervisory roles, such as:
∎ Team Leadership:
