Education: - Master’s in psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, clinical social work is Essential.
Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Minimum 4 years’ experience providing counselling and/or social work in a clinic and/or refugee camp settings under the verified supervision of a psychologist /MHAM are Essential.
- Minimum 2 Years of supervisory experience to counselors/Psychologists/other Mental Health Provider are Essential.
- Minimum 2 Years’ experience in report writing (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) are essential.
- Previous experience with MSF or other humanitarian NGOs preferred.
- Fluency in Written and spoken English, Bangla languages are essential.
- Spoken Chittagonian and Rohingya are Desirable.
- Essential computer literacy (Word, excel, internet)
- Data analysis (Health Information System; HIS), Share-point, Teams, Skype, social media are preferred
Responsibilities & Context: - Ensure daily availability of counsellors and social workers in Balukhali SOPD providing full services
- Ensure daily MH activities in MH Department, Maternity Departemnt and all other hospital services
- Ensure daily availability of counsellors and social workers in Kutupalong Secondary Hospital providing full services.
- Ensure daily mental health activities in the In-Patient-Department (IPD), Maternity department and all other hospital services.
- Ensure organisation of daily psychoeducation and social work in the Out-Patient-Department (OPD) and waiting areas.
- Ensure mental health intervention as part of SGBV treatment. Maintain collaboration with SGBV department and ensure reporting of data.
- Ensure reporting of cases to social workers for defaulter tracing, high risk support and social needs.
- Ensure social workers undertake social assessments to identify patients’ social needs and take appropriate action on the identified needs (shelter, financial, protection, legal etc).
- Manage time in a manner that facilitates timely follow-up with supervisees on administrative concerns and person-centered care.
- In close collaboration with the psychiatrist/mhGAP trained MDs/dedicated MH MDs give bio-psycho-social interventions to patients/carers when needed.
- Ensure precise and reliable reporting of mental health activities including psychiatry on weekly and monthly basis using existing data collection tools. Compile the data and necessary statistics linked with mental health activities.
- Support the interpretation of mental health data and Monthly Medical Report (MMR) preparation.
- Lead the education of counsellors and social workers as well as identification of training needs for the team in colleboration with HR and Admin departments.
- Lead the daily morning meeting in mental health department ensuring updates of challenges and activities; and attend in daily medical meeting.
- Assess the need for supply of mental health forms and other medical and non-medical items and prepare supply requests.
- Participate and support in weekly group supervisions and trainings for quality improvement.
- Organise and attend conferences and meetings as MSF representative with other relevant actors and liaise with local counterparts when appropriate.
- In collaboration with Humanitarian Affairs (HA) department, monitor incoming and outgoing referrals to other health actors and protection agencies.
- Supervise, organise and coach counsellors and social workers on performance improvement, data collection, colleboration with other departments.
- Organise sensitisation and support training sessions for MSF staff in order to improve staff skills and acess of care for patients with mental health and social needs.
- Ensure confidentiality of all psycho-social counselling, social work and medical cases / records
- Colleborate with the medical, humanitarian affairs and health promotion teams, and partners, in ways that safeguards the beneficiary (safety, choices, confidentiality).
- Oversee the administrative processes associated with the mental health team.
- In collaboration with MHAM, review mental health and bio-psycho-social education messages / topics used in psychosocial and social work activities, and ensure that all messages are in accordance with MSF protocols and best practice.
- In collaboration with MHAM, provide support, trainings and coaching for new mental health team members.
- Support the role of the MHAM on days when MHAM is absent
Job Other Benifits: This is a Permanent contract position. Salary according to level Level Eight (Level 8) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 95,000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
