Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from recognized IHT.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 4 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operations of Laboratory (sample collection, testing, report delivery)
∎ Stock management of Lab
∎ Maintain cleanliness, quality and infection control protocol
∎ Reporting
∎ Maintaining daily patients register for Pathology.
∎ Ensure correct patient, correct side and correct procedure before performing procedure.
∎ Sample collection of blood, urine, sputum and stool when needed.
∎ Ensure all the service entries and reports are entered in the software.
∎ Deliver the report on time.
∎ Report abnormal reports immediately to supervisor.
∎ Maintain Sterility & Cleanliness of Lab & Collection room and dispose wastage properly as per IPC guidelines.
∎ Technical responsibilities:
∎ Prepare monthly/quarterly requisition of reagents, stationaries, chemicals & consumable items for Laboratory.
∎ Informing Hospital Manager about any problem with the equipment and maintain Down time resister.
∎ Prepare monthly report and send to management.
∎ Be flexible for roster duty.
∎ Maintain daily quality checklist and temperature monitoring checklist and preserve for submission.
∎ Perform any task assigned by the line manager.
∎ Quality Assurances:
∎ General Maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory and X-ray department.
∎ Maintain & monitor infection prevention procedures as per protocol.
∎ Client care issues:
∎ Need to show empathy to the patient during performing any procedure
∎ Need to explain all the procedure and treatment to the patient
∎ Working environment:
∎ The own service area will be his or her own responsibility, everything related to this room will be his or her own duty and accountability to be fulfilled.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 25 years
∎ Should be able to work as helping hand in X-ray unit when/if needed
∎ Should be able to work in remote setting, under extreme work stress with limited resources
∎ 3 to 5 years of relevant experience (Experience in NGOs will be preferred)
∎ Excellent communication skill and desire to learn.
∎ High commitment & motivation to work in remote places specially in riverine areas
∎ Strong interpersonal skills.
∎ Sound knowledge of computer operations specially MS Office
