Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of the entire human community. DAM has been contributing to the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. The Health and WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 16 projects.

With Long experience in health care program under Hena Ahmed’s co-operation with Dhaka Ahsania Mission, the Health sector established Hena Ahmed Hospital and Diagnostic Center in Munshiganj District. The Health Sector has been operating this hospital since 23rd May 2016. DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Medical Officer, at Hena Ahmed Hospital and Diagnostics Center, Munshiganj.

Job Responsibility:

• Be familiar with ESD+ services and remain up dated and keep staff up update.

• Be responsible for delivery of designated ESP services according to specific protocols.

• Ensure documentation of services conduct normal deliveries and supervise/assist in LUCS operation.

• Conduct delivery with maintaining the partograph.

• Ensure registration, clinical examination and documentation of mother or ante-natal and post-natal care examination.

• Identify risk pregnancies and their effective referral following developed guidelines.

• Provide services in line with the guidelines developed under the quality of care system.

• Taking account of technical competence and clients’ need.

• Assist nurse in ensuring that they perform their responsibility efficiently.

• Provide on the job training to Hospital Nurses, Paramedic/Midwife.

• Assess the need for drugs and instruments/Equipment.

• Assist Clinic Manager in their procurement. 

• Ensure proper recording of clients information and filling in appropriate places.

• Any other responsibilities as designated from time to time assigned by the supervisor

• Ensure proper filing of records for the Hospital Activities.

The service will be contractual period on daily (24 hour) basis. Daily 2,500 Taka.
