Experience:
Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry or a related subject.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Beauty or Laundry Soap production, with proven expertise in training facilitation or vocational skill development.
Strong knowledge of soap and detergent formulation, quality control, safety, and hygiene standards.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver practical, participatory training sessions for community groups, especially women and youth.
Proven skills in mentoring, coaching, and building capacity of small-scale producers or cooperatives.
Good understanding of entrepreneurship, small business management, and market linkage to support sustainable livelihoods.
Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills in both English and Bangla.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital data recording tools.
Experience working in NGO, development, or humanitarian contexts, preferably with refugee or host communities.
Ability to work independently and under pressure, maintaining sensitivity and respect when working with diverse populations.

Job Context
PHALS is a non-governmental organization (NGO) working in the field of humanitarian assistance and development since 1996. In this continuation, PHALS is going to implement the Clean Futures Cooperative: A WASH–Livelihoods Model for Refugee and Host Resilience Project in Cox’s Bazar funded by FCDO and supported by IOM. We are seeking a qualified Master Trainer who will design, facilitate, and supervise all training activities related to soap and hygiene product production under: A WASH–Livelihoods Model for Refugee and Host Resilience project. The position purpose is to build the technical and entrepreneurial capacities of FDMN and host community members, enabling them to produce quality soap products and strengthen their livelihoods. The Master Trainer will ensure training content is practical, inclusive, and aligned with the project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement practical training modules on Beauty and Laundry Soap production, quality control, safe chemical handling and any other relevant issue of the project.
Conduct hands-on, participatory training sessions for Rohingya and host community participants, focusing on technical skills and entrepreneurship.
Demonstrate the complete soap-making process from raw material measurement to packaging ensuring quality and consistency.
Ensure all training and production activities adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
Provide continuous mentoring and technical support to trained producers to enhance skill retention and production efficiency.
Strengthen participants’ business management and marketing skills for sustainable income generation and group-based enterprise development.
Collaborate with the Chemist and project team to maintain product quality and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Document training activities and outcomes, prepare reports, and share feedback to support project monitoring and evaluation.
Uphold PHALS’ values, code of conduct, and commitment to safeguarding and PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).
