• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• The MSD Lead will report to the Director of Programs and play a pivotal leadership role in advancing inclusive market systems in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned expert in market systems development, with a strong business acumen and proven experience in designing, implementing, and scaling MSD strategies.

This position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and contingent upon funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of MSD strategies in alignment with Max Foundation’s strategic objectives.

• Support program teams in designing inclusive, climate-smart, and nutrition-sensitive market interventions.

• Identify and nurture partnerships with private sector actors, financial institutions, government bodies, and other stakeholders.

• Monitor intervention portfolios, assess market trends and risks, and adapt programming as necessary.

• Oversee planning, budgeting, and performance tracking of MSD interventions.

• Facilitate the development of financial services and market infrastructure, including insurance and business development services.

• Draft terms of reference (ToR) and scopes of work (SoW) for relevant consultancy services.

• Provide technical support and capacity building to program teams.

• Conduct regular field visits to project areas to ensure effective implementation.

• Manage and mentor a team of technical staff.
