Responsibilities & Context:
  • Assist the Head of Department in effectively overseeing all operational activities and ensuring desired outcomes of the assigned account with utmost integrity and professionalism.

  • Ensure efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all utility systems including power generation, electrical distribution networks, steam generation, compressed air systems, water supply, and HVAC systems to support uninterrupted production.

  • Carry out daily maintenance and operational activities of diesel and gas generators, electrical substations and distribution systems, steam and thermo oil boilers (Gas, Diesel & LPG), air compressors, pumps, and MV/LT switchgear in accordance with company standards.

  • Monitor utility consumption (electricity, gas, water, steam, compressed air) and take proactive initiatives to optimize usage, reduce wastage, and improve overall efficiency.

  • Perform maintenance, repair, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of key equipment including generators, boilers, chillers, compressors, submersible pumps, deep tube wells, forklifts, knitting machines, and electrical systems.

  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring smooth operation of modern machinery and quick resolution of technical issues.

  • Monitor machine and utility performance; analyze breakdowns, quality issues, and inefficiencies; and prepare detailed reports with actionable insights.

  • Identify root causes of technical and utility-related problems and recommend effective and sustainable solutions.

  • Design, develop, test, and supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and utility infrastructure for industrial applications.

  • Plan and execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for knitting and other machinery, as well as utility equipment, to ensure maximum operational efficiency in line with manufacturer guidelines.

  • Ensure proper planning and timely execution of annual, monthly, and daily maintenance programs for both production and utility systems.

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive technical reports, utility performance analyses, evaluations, and improvement proposals to enhance operational performance.

  • Stay updated with ACCORD/Alliance standards and ensure full compliance within factory operations.

  • Support departmental budgeting, staff training, and administrative functions as required.

  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through efficient utility management and process improvements while ensuring adherence to all safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and utility system issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.

  • Provide emergency technical support for both machinery and utility systems whenever required by the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with all social, environmental, and regulatory audit requirements related to utilities and operations.
