UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Manager - Quality (Activewear) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end QA/QC operations for high-performance activewear, sportswear, and athleisure manufacturing lines.
Review buyer tech packs and technical stretch specifications to establish style-specific quality standards and inspection SOPs.
Conduct daily in-line, end-line & AQL inspections across specialized sewing lines (Flatlock, 4-needle 6-thread, bonded seams).
Oversee raw material quality checks for high-stretch fabrics (Elastane/Spandex blends), verifying GSM, shade band, and stretch recovery.
Lead Pre-Production (PP) meetings to identify potential risks in fabric tension, high-stretch stitching, laser cutting, and heat seal bonding.
Ensure zero-defect execution of technical activewear processes, including seamless bonding, heat transfer logos, and reflective prints.
Manage buyer quality audits and third-party inspection teams (e.g., SGS, Bureau Veritas, TUV-SUD) for pre-shipment approvals.
Oversee in-house physical testing for activewear performance, including moisture wicking, seam elasticity, and colorfastness to sweat.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and execute CAPA plans for recurring defects like seam cracking, fabric puckering, or adhesive peeling.
Inspect fit samples, dynamic stretch mock-ups, and grading compliance to guarantee body-contouring fit and seam durability.
Train and mentor line auditors and section supervisors on activewear-specific defects, stitch tension control, and buyer QA manuals.
Enforce strict needle safety, metal detection, and contamination control procedures tailored for light and synthetic knit fabrics.
Track daily sewing/finishing DHU & present key quality KPIs and reduction plans to management.
Ensure full alignment with buyer Restricted Substance Lists (RSL), chemical safety protocols, and global testing standards.
