Job Context:
∎ Under the direct supervision of Head of Development Programs the Manager (Proposal Development and Partnership) will undertake proposal development and partnership related responsibilities especially focused on Pre award functions, by closely working with different functions including Senior Coordinators, M&E, Admin & GS, HR, and Finance.
∎ This position is also responsible for the management and implementation of RDRS`s approach in partnering with international, local, and national NGOs and CSOs; establishing RDRS as a leader in its engagement with Bangladesh civil society, donor community, bi-lateral partners & donors to produce better outcomes for the people we serve. Ensure strong, collaborative partnerships that deliver effective and efficient program outcomes in accordance with RDRS`s strategy in line with its mission, vision, and values.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Grants and Proposal Development related:
∎ Draft new proposals and concept notes which are consistent, high-quality, competitive, and aligned with donor's requirements and regulations.
∎ Develop clear proposal development timeline, provide early notification to relevant about the timeline; regular follow up with the relevant teams to ensure deliverables.
∎ Maintain an efficient system for proposal development including clear responsibilities outlined for management, programs, finance, and operations departments - that yields timely, high quality submissions.
∎ Organize program design workshops for all new business development opportunities
∎ Coordinate with Finance team to ensure that, budget templates are developed and shared with the team on time; ensure that the budget is reviewed by relevant functions before sign-off.
∎ Represent RDRS in various donor coordination meetings and external forums as required for business development and other grants functions
∎ Develop briefing paper for donor visits and coordinate external visits which are relevant for business development.
∎ Conduct community needs assessment as part of concept note and business development initiatives.
∎ Perform other post award duties as required.
∎ Partnership related:
∎ Provide leadership and guidance for development and management of partnerships with potential international, local, and national NGOs, private sector and other relevant actors which are in line with RDRS's Strategic vision, partnership, and Fundraising Strategy.
∎ Forster building and strengthening relationship with donor, partner organizations based on transparency, mutual respect, inclusion, accountability, effective communication, and quality service delivery.
∎ Maintain a working knowledge of the civil society landscape in Bangladesh; and establish, build, and maintain a network of strategic partners, including with women-led organizations as per RDRS five years strategy.
∎ Collaborate withHoDP and SMT to proactively identify potential partnerships with local and national NGOs as well as International Organizations.
∎ Champion robust partner and donorrelationship characterized by the core partnership principles of responsibility, results-oriented approach, equality, transparency, and complementarity.
∎ Ensure appropriate proactive and reactive communications and engagement with donors, partners through regularly scheduled partnership management meetings and outside of formal partnership relationships.
∎ Facilitate systematic feedback on management of the donor &partnership relationship, as well as appropriate action in response to the feedback.
∎ In accordance with RDRS partnership strategy, oversee all aspects of partnership life cycle management, from partner mapping analysis, partner identification, due diligence, project development, agreement development, start-up, implementation, monitoring and accountability through to close-out, coordinating effectively with all programs, operations and finance components.
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop RDRS programs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrable understanding of project planning and project cycle management
∎ Required to be able to function comfortably in a complex work environment, under pressure whilst prioritizing multiple tasks.
∎ Good supervisory, time management and interpersonal skills
∎ Ability to conduct analysis and come up with plans of actions and recommendations.
∎ Ability to build good working relationships and work effectively with program, field staff and HQ from a distance.
∎ Ability to respond to multiple priorities in a timely manner, producing high-quality outcomes.
∎ Diplomatic and tactful, able to work with diverse teams.
∎ Excellent social skills, positive and professional attitude, ability to work well in a team setting.
∎ Good listener, cooperative and flexibility, and creativity.
∎ Self-motivated and able to handle multiple work demands.
