Responsibilities & Context:
The Operation Manager - Sewing will be responsible for overseeing the complete sewing production process. The role ensures efficient production planning, line balancing, quality control, manpower management, and on-time shipment while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance standards.
Oversee sewing floor operations to meet production targets.
Ensure smooth execution of production plans and shipment schedules.
Monitor line efficiency, productivity, and implement proper line balancing.
Maintain buyer quality standards and reduce defects (DHU).
Supervise supervisors, operators, and manage manpower effectively.
Conduct training to improve skills and efficiency.
Control production costs, reduce wastage, and monitor machine utilization.
Ensure SMV targets and optimum capacity utilization.
Maintain workplace safety, discipline, and 5S standards.
Ensure compliance with buyer and factory requirements.
Prepare production reports and track KPIs (efficiency, output, rejection, absenteeism).
Coordinate with Planning, IE, QA, and Merchandising teams.
