Responsibilities & Context:
Strategy formation aligning with plant policy deployment to achieve plant KPIs effectively.
Develop and define department plans as per the plant strategic direction to align with future business requirement.
Forecast future risk and develop counter measures to mitigate risks.
Drive digitization and autonomation initiatives to improve productivity of the business with minimizing of touch points.
Coach and mentor while identifying and defining the required skills for future job roles & upgrade the existing tool to bridge the skill gap.
Review and reward through periodic evaluations and develop action plans/IDPs to bridge the gap.
Conduct regular review meetings to monitor the engineering KPIs and develop countermeasures for the gap to establish a problem-solving culture.
Present the engineering KPIs to the management in daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual basis at management meetings to communicate the status.
Decision making on optimum resource allocation to minimize the operational cost.
Ensure the timely completion of construction/ expansion projects by evaluating and selecting the appropriate supplier whilst monitoring the contractor activities to accomplish given targets.
Ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and standards within the organisation and continuously improve same to create a safe working environment.
Specialized area should Mechanical Engineering.
