Responsibilities & Context:
Esquire Knit Composite is a 100% export oriented knit garments industry having composite set up as Knitting, Yarn Dyeing, Fabric Dyeing, Cutting, Sewing, Industrial Laundry, Embroidery, Printing and Washing.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Implementation
Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures for the Utility & Maintenance department aligned with organizational goals.
Prepare and implement maintenance strategies to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure their effective implementation.
Lead and manage the Utility & Maintenance team to ensure uninterrupted operation of maintenance and utility systems across all facilities.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
Project Support
Collaborate with project teams to ensure utility requirements and maintenance provisions are met efficiently.
Power & Utility Operations
Support upcoming projects in layout design, budgeting, implementation, and procurement.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure utility requirements and maintenance provisions are met efficiently.
Ensure all industrial facilities maintain high standards of electrical safety, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance.
Implement corrective actions to eliminate potential electrical hazards and energy wastage.
Operational Management
Ensure smooth utility and maintenance support across all facilities (office and production units).
Manage utility manpower, equipment, and systems to achieve the highest operational uptime.
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs.
Record and analyze breakdowns for both critical and non-critical equipment to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Safety & Compliance
Oversee regular maintenance schedules, safety procedures, and routine inspections.
Ensure timely servicing of all machinery and availability of required materials, tools, and spare parts for effective operation. Ensure safe working practices are followed; take immediate corrective actions for any deviations.
Monitor adherence to organizational safety, health, and environmental standards.
Regulatory & Environmental Compliance
Ensure all maintenance and utility operations comply with relevant regulatory standards, safety codes, and environmental guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and inspection.
Cost & Energy Efficiency
Identify and control wastage through energy conservation initiatives such as Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse.
Recommend and implement cost reduction measures in areas such as power, fuel, maintenance, and water systems.
Support procurement in vendor selection and cost negotiations by evaluating quality and reliability through testing and performance reviews.
Vendor & Resource Management
Empanel new vendors after quality verification and commercial negotiation.
Coordinate with Procurement and Finance teams for budgeting, sourcing, and cost control activities.
Risk Management & Contingency Planning
Identify potential risks in utility and maintenance operations and develop contingency plans to minimize production interruptions and downtime.
Innovation & Sustainability
Explore and adopt innovative technologies such as renewable energy integrations, automation, and emission control systems to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
