Job Context:
∎ CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985. CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh. From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisher folk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisher folk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is working in the coastal districts of Bangladesh since 1985. CODEC is working in the field of Micro-Finance from the inception. CODEC is also implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day to day struggle.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should have to be confident to lead total CODEC Micro Finance Program's audit department independently in all CODEC's working areas (Chattogram, Bagerhat, Barishal, Patuakhali, Laxmipur, Noakhali).
∎ To be acquainted with CODEC Micro Finance Program knowledge according the CODEC mission, vision, and development goal as described in organizational profile and plan.
∎ Provides management, oversight and leadership to the audit teams to keep complex audits on track and ensure quality work. Provides leadership in audit matters as well as administrative areas.
∎ Correctly performs most routine audit, review and compilation engagement procedures in a timely and professional manner
∎ Develops and implements audit manual/policy that address the audit objectives and provides a clear path for developing convincing findings and actionable recommendations.
∎ Develops well supported audit reports that recommend process improvement and/or financial benefits.
∎ Responsible for supervise perform operational and financial audits according to the annual audit plan
∎ Establishing the accountability & control at various level of the program implementation process
∎ Checking & verifying of Fixed Assets and their inventory records and report on their any misuse or irregularity
∎ Checking CODEC Micro Finance Program's all unit transaction and balances carefully and report immediately
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual audit report
∎ Prepare any other duties as assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 05 years working in any Microfinance Institution as Manager - Audit.
∎ National NGO - Working in the field of Micro Finance.
∎ This position is stationed at Head Office with extensive field visits in the coastal district.
Salary: Tk. 40000 - 50000 (Monthly)
