Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in preferably Economics/ ACCA/ Gender Studies/ Development Studies/ Business Studies or any relevant Social science from any recognised university with minimum all second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA 2.50 is acceptable

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate designing and implementation of overall plan for gender mainstreaming in the relevant departments of BRAC
∎ Analyze sector specific Gender Mainstreaming scope, priorities, risk & opportunities as required to implement into the department/unit level
∎ Provide technical guidance to the Gender Focal Person (GFP)s to establish gender responsive departments across BRAC
∎ Design and Develop gender equality tools, frameworks, checklists, and indicators to strengthen gender mainstreaming in the departments
∎ Guide and support BRAC’s departments to develop capacity of staff on gender agenda.
∎ Provide technical support to departments for establishing gender sensitive work environment and increasing women staff ratio in requirement and mid-management level
∎ Provide support in conducting various study, survey, evaluation of the gender mainstreaming interventions/initiatives in the departments
∎ Provide support in developing/reviewing the gender related IEC, BCC materials, operational guideline, manual etc
∎ Support and systematize the process for gender mainstreaming technical skill/capacity development of GFPs
∎ Establish and strengthen ownership of relevant departments of BRAC to achieve gender equality and women empowerment goals
∎ Effective coordination with GJD’s internal components (KM, M&E, OD, Advocacy) for achieving BRAC’s Gender equality goals
∎ Develop communication network with BRAC Departments to reduce VAWC and engaging men and boys to promote gender equality and women empowerment.
∎ Report to senior management on the gender mainstreaming activities in the BRAC departments
∎ Contribute to various learning events of BRAC’s departments
∎ Collaboratively observe different days (International Women’s Day, 16 Days Activism Campaign, and International Girl Child Day etc.)
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
