• Lead and manage all finishing operations, including thread trimming, stain removal, pressing, measurement checking, quality inspection, metal detection, folding, ticketing, poly packing, carton packing, and shipment preparation.
• Ensure garments meet buyer specifications, approved packing methods, and quality requirements before final audit and shipment.
• Monitor finishing production against daily shipment plans and achieve on-time delivery targets.
• Coordinate closely with Sewing, Washing (where applicable), Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Planning, Warehouse, Commercial, and IE departments.
• Ensure compliance with buyer SOPs for Walmart, GAP, Primark, Macy's, JC Penney, Inditex and other international customers.
• Monitor AQL performance and drive continuous improvement to reduce DHU, alteration, rework, and finishing defects.
• Control packing accuracy, assortment, carton ratio, barcode verification, polybag specifications, carton marking, and shipping documentation.
• Lead final audit preparation and ensure smooth buyer inspections.
• Monitor WIP (Work in Process) and implement corrective actions to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Ensure finishing efficiency, manpower utilization, machine utilization, and cost optimization.
• Prepare daily production, shipment, productivity, rejection, and efficiency reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing practices, workplace safety, and compliance requirements.
• Train, coach, and develop finishing supervisors, quality inspectors, ironing operators, packing supervisors, and team leaders.
• Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
• Ensure all finishing equipment such as steam irons, vacuum tables, fusing equipment, metal detectors, needle control systems, and packing equipment are properly maintained.
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or any relevant discipline.
• Technical training in Garment Manufacturing or Lean Production will be an added advantage.
