∎ Master's or 4-year bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Professional qualification as CA (professional level) and professional skill in accounts and finance are pre-requisites; qualification as CA (advanced level) will be given preference.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ GENERAL
∎ Overseeing the Finance & Accounts team and ensuring its proper operation and gradual improvement;
∎ Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members;
∎ Advocating sound financial/business decision making;
∎ Communicating tasks, strategic goals, and directions and decisions from the Management to the team members;
∎ Providing excellent leadership by assigning team members clear accountability backed by appropriate authority and holding them accountable for successful performance;
∎ Achieving and exceeding goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, and assisting with profit improvement opportunities;
∎ Ensuring compliance with SOPs
∎ Understanding and meeting the needs of key stakeholders (Owners, Management, guests, etc.);
∎ Understanding Owners' perspective and ROI expectations;
∎ Advising the GM and the Management on existing and evolving operating/financial issues;
∎ Facilitating critique meetings to review information with the Management;
∎ Meeting the Management and the Owners in order to provide context and explanation for financial results, and to understand priorities and develop strategies;
∎ Observing any direction, decision or objection reasonably required by the Management;
∎ TECHNICAL
∎ Overseeing and ensuring smooth operation of all accounting functions;
∎ Preparing and releasing in a timely manner all reports, projections, estimations and statements;
∎ Ensuring that the books, records and accounts are maintained accurately and fairly reflect the transactions and administration of the assets of the Resort;
∎ Reviewing and certifying any internal or external financial reporting before distribution;
∎ Preparing and reviewing annual budget and periodical forecasts;
∎ Ensuring that the P&L is accurate;
∎ Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basis and that discrepancies are immediately identified and corrected;
∎ Devising and maintain a system of internal accounting control sufficient to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with the Management's general and specific authorisation and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and the regulations of Bangladesh;
∎ Overseeing and ensuring the smooth execution of account receivables, credit and cashiering functions, including ensuring that:
∎ all account receivable balances are bona fide;
∎ appropriate actions are taken to collect overdue amounts;
∎ internal credit meetings with the participations of the General Manager and other HODs are regularly held where all debtors' balances are analysed;
∎ all Resort cash and bank assets are safeguarded
∎ all monthly bank and credit card reconciliations are certified;
∎ all daily cash and cheque collections are duly verified and banked-in on a daily basis;
∎ Overseeing internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensuring appropriate corrections are made to audit results if necessary;
∎ Ensuring a strong accounting, operation and cost control environment to safeguard assets and to improve operations and profitability;
∎ Implementing a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks.
∎ Ensuring procurement of goods and services are done in compliance with the requirements of and directions from the Management;
∎ Ensuring smooth running of the overall payroll and general administrative functions, including ensuring:
∎ accuracy of the payroll calculation and payment to employees;
∎ strict observation of the government's tax regulations;
∎ Overseeing all legal and tax matters related to the Resort in liaison with any consultant hired for the purpose and local authorities;
