Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
∎ Degree, Masters or Higher diploma in a relevant subject such as physical, mathematical and applied sciences or clothing/ textile engineering is a must from any reputed university.
∎ Following qualifications would be added advantages for the suitable candidate:
∎ Chemical and Physical sciences, Clothing Technology or Garment Technology, Fashion Studies, Materials Science or Technology, Polymer Science or Technology, Production or Manufacturing Engineering, Textile Technology or Textile science.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 6 year(s)
Job Context:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Arrange all sorts of approval (base, labdip, bulk, shad bands) within CP timeline by maintaining perfect WOW for respective buyer.
∎ Arrange & review 3rd party &/or in-house testing inspection. Analyze reports & make decision to proceed for next step.
∎ In case of test failure issues give corrective action plan & advise how to use the failed fabric & also advise fabric supplier about preventive action plan to eliminate failures in next orders.
∎ Review fabric quality issues & provide on spot solution to proceed with the issues within minimum fabric wastage. In applicable cases; communicate with buyer on the issues for getting approval & communicate with fabric supplier to get replacement on time.
∎ Doing risk assessment in development stage. Arrange/co-ordinate fabric PP Meeting. Give all necessary technical feedback to PD, Merchant, Production Team as well as fabric suppliers to solve fabric quality related issues from development to bulk.
∎ Closely monitor technical compliance & sustainability requirements of buyers. Collect & verify necessary certificates on time.
∎ Maintain up to date communication with buyers & fabric suppliers. Keep updated with the latest technologies & ideas in the relevant field. Periodically visit Buying offices & fabric mills in home & overseas.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ An elevated level of technical knowledge and strong practical skills
∎ The ability to work as part of a team and to liaise with colleagues in other functions
∎ strong negotiating skills
∎ The ability to prioritize and to switch between different tasks as required
∎ Problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
∎ Organizational skills, to ensure time schedules are adhered to and deadlines are met an interest in, and understanding of, computer technology.
∎ Willingness to learn.
