Experience:
1. Resource Optimization & Efficiency
Fabric Utilization: Analyze and maximize the fabric-to-garment ratio (marker efficiency) to minimize fabric wastage (ends and remnants).
Standard Minute Value (SMV): Develop SMVs for spreading, cutting, bundling, and numbering processes.
Method Studies: Implement motion and time studies to streamline processes and reduce non-productive handling time.
2. Production Planning & Cut Scheduling
Cut Plan Execution: Coordinate with the central planning team to execute the daily/weekly cut plan based on shipping priorities and fabric availability.
Capacity Planning: Evaluate machine capacity (e.g., auto-cutters, spreading machines) and manpower availability to balance workloads across shifts.
WIP Monitoring: Ensure a smooth flow of Work In Progress (WIP) from the cutting room to the sewing lines, preventing bottlenecks.
3. Lean Manufacturing & Quality Control
Waste Reduction: Apply Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles to minimize material waste and optimize workspace layout.
Quality Assurance: Audit cut panels for shading, fusing defects, and size discrepancies prior to sending them to the sewing floor.
Root Cause Analysis: Lead problem-solving sessions when cut defects or fabric shortages occur.
4. Leadership & Training
Team Management: Mentor and supervise junior IEs, floor supervisors, and cutting operators.
Skill Development: Design incentive schemes and training programs to upskill cutting operators on handling different fabric types.
Performance Tracking: Monitor daily/monthly cutting room KPIs and prepare analytical reports for senior management
