UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Manager - Cutting (Activewear) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily cutting floor operations, lay planning, and execution for high-stretch activewear and sportswear styles.
Manage strict fabric relaxation and conditioning protocols for elastane, lycra, polyester, and circular knit blends.
Optimize CAD marker efficiency and layout strategies to minimize fabric consumption on high-value synthetic materials.
Supervise automated spreading and CAM cutting machine operations calibrated specifically for activewear fabrics.
Inspect and enforce strict quality standards for panel dimensions, tension-free spreading, and shade/lot grouping.
Oversee specialized cutting techniques including laser cutting, ultrasonic cutting, and pre-assembly bonding prep.
Balance daily cutting schedules to maintain uninterrupted panel feeding to high-speed activewear sewing lines.
Audit panel cutting for specialized components like body-mapping mesh, linings, inserts, and performance trims.
Train and direct CAD technicians, machine operators, lay spreaders, and bundling teams for high efficiency.
Generate fabric reconciliation and lay-ratio reports to evaluate actual fabric usage against target consumption.
Implement rigorous controls on end-loss, edge-loss, scrap, and panel re-cut ratios to maximize overall fabric yield.
Work with Merchandising, QA, and Wash/R&D teams to manage fabric shrinkage and stretch variance prior to cutting.
Maintain equipment productivity, safety standards, 5S compliance, and routine machine maintenance on the cutting floor.
Oversee complete bundle identification, numbering, and accurate dispatch to sub-assembly and stitching units.
