Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate/Post Graduate is required, ideally in Communication, Mass Media and Journalism and other relevant department.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Role of this Position: The Manager- Communication will play the role of the focal person of the communication and outreach under Climate Change Program of CCDB. The Manager will work for:
∎ Strengthening internal communication to ensure the program delivers the consistent massage externally
∎ Promoting the climate change locally (including children, women, men, elders) nationally (GO, I/NGO, Academic), and globally with engaging events
∎ Earning global accreditation so that vulnerable people replicate our technology, national and international climate actors visit the Climate Technology Park and the professional training course become demanding
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communication
∎ Prepare a communication strategy which will engage local, national and global climate actors.
∎ Develop communication plan of the climate change of program in line with the objectives and activities.
∎ Develop communication materials (background briefings, info graphics, case studies, brochures ect.) and promotional ideas.
∎ Identify the most significant achievement/success, develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase the visibility among relevant stakeholders at national and international level.
∎ Identify and explore scopes for extending networks and partnership with relevant like minded organizations and institutions
∎ Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, partners, academic and/or research institutions and other relevant actors in the fields of climate change at national and international level.
∎ Website, Content Development and Designing
∎ Maintain the websites of CCDB Climate Portal and CCDB Climate Centre with regular updates and uploads.
∎ Ensure quality of all the developed content/materials in line with the communication and branding strategy of the organization.
∎ Develop script and content of the planned knowledge products and promotional materials.
∎ Search the award opportunities and take all the necessary actions for the applications.
∎ Outsource and communicate if required for designing of any materials.
∎ Take initiative in publishing/broadcasting any events, success, approach etc in national and international media (Online/Print/TV/social media/Website).
∎ Develop promotional materials including concepts and visual design for web, print and event materials
∎
∎ Other responsibilities
∎ Provide support to other staff team member for developing and brand compliance of function specific documentation (e.g. individual bi-annual newsletter, digital and hard-copy appeals, fundraising repots, etc.)
∎ Produce qualitative reports as per the organizational requirements.
∎ Support and update frequently/regularly the social media with relevant news, events, pictures, videos etc.
∎ Assist in conducting awareness raising campaigns, events, information dissemination workshops, etc. for target groups
∎ Participate in donor visit for showcasing project progress and achievements.
∎ Visit the project locations for collecting stories, photos and videos to develop promotional and other materials/products.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 40 years
∎ Position requires at least five years of relevant experience in the communication section of any NGO/INGO and/or private sector.
∎ Experiences in a project or program related to Climate Change, environment, community development, livelihood improvement of vulnerable community is desired.
∎ Physically and mentally sound with good health, smart, energetic, ability to work in all situation and environment.
∎ Skill on capturing learning, innovation, knowledge management.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skill skills and understanding of database concepts
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication and Presentation skills
∎ Ability to operate with independence, under pressure, to meet deadlines and commitments.
∎ Can operate MS office package, Illustrator and Photoshop.
∎ Proven ability to work as part of a team, and as part of a wider network.
∎ Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
Salary: Tk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
