Job Context:
∎ Project Summary: PCRCB- Phase-2 Project is being implemented to enhance their resilience by focusing on (i) Reducing climate risk at community level through awareness raising, agricultural/water/structural adaptation efforts, skill development and less vulnerable AIGA support (ii) Capacity development of the local community organization for their sustainability and (iii) scaling up the resilience building approach.
∎ Role of this Position: Under the supervision of Coordinator, the Manager- Resilience Building will play the role to provide technical and administrative support to the field team to achieve the project objectives. S/he will assist Coordinator-Resilience Building as per requirements
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Explore and provide technical information to the field team regarding climate change adaptation practices in different sector specially in agriculture.
∎ Seek and develop ideas regarding different types of adaptation and mitigation solutions which is applicable at community level.
∎ Guide and assist field team in implementing to achieve the project objectives within stipulated time frame.
∎ Regular communicate with field team to track the progress of the progress and recommend further measures for ensuring progress.
∎ Develop different kinds of knowledge products, stories considering project progress and positive changes in people's lives throughout the project implementation.
∎ Extensive field visit at the project implementation areas (Coastal and Drought) to monitor and assist the field team.
∎ Manages the day-to-day program support to the field office, maintaining close liaison with other component of climate change program of CCDB.
∎ Assist Coordinator to organize meeting, seminar, workshop at local, national and international level.
∎ Assist Coordinator in developing and designing concept note for new project.
∎ Assist Coordinator by developing implementation plan, budget and project strategies/framework.
∎ Assist for information dissemination among stakeholders including community.
∎ Ensures the maintenance of proper documentation of program activities
∎ Shares information proactively about the program with key stakeholders in coordination with Coordinator.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Position requires at least five years of experience in similar type of position. Experiences in a project or program related to disaster risk reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, community development, livelihood improvement of vulnerable community is desired.
∎ Skill on capturing learning, innovation, knowledge management and qualitative and quantitative report writing both in English and Bangla.
∎ Skills in participatory planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring of project activities at grass-root level with knowledge in using PRA tools and techniques.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skill skills and understanding of database concepts
∎ Proven track record on designing performance measurement framework, monitoring framework, logical framework and theory of change.
∎ Skill and experience in preparing high quality report, IEC materials.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication and Presentation skills
∎ Ability to operate with independence, under pressure, to meet deadlines and commitments.
∎ Can operate MS office package, SPSS, STATA.
∎ Proven ability to work as part of a team, and as part of a wider network.
∎ Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
