Education:
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Experience working in the Dhaka construction market.


Responsibilities & Context:

The Manager, Business Development - Construction Division will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of business development, project management, and operational activities within the construction division. The role demands a dynamic individual with extensive knowledge in construction, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and quality supervision. The Manager will be accountable for driving profitability, ensuring the highest standards of construction quality, and leading the division's growth strategies. 

Responsibilities:

Profit & Loss Management: 

  • Ensuring the quotation submit. Govt. & Private construction sector.
  • Develop and manage the construction division’s budget. 
  • Monitor financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Business Development.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction sector. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders. 
  • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and tender documents to secure contracts. 

Costing & BOQ Preparation: 

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for various construction projects. 
  • Ensure accuracy in cost estimation to optimize project profitability. 
  • Evaluate and manage project budgets, including cost control measures.  

Project Management: 

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.  
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure smooth project execution. 

Quality Supervision: 

  • Implement and maintain construction quality control standards. 
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. 
  • Address and resolve any issues related to construction quality or project execution. 

Client Relationship Management: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Provide regular updates to clients on project progress and address any concerns. 
  • Ensure client satisfaction and build long-term relationships for repeat business. 

Team Leadership & Development: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals within the construction division. 
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 
  • Identify training and development needs for team members to enhance their skills. 

Compliance & Risk Management: 

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations and industry standards. 
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. 
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained for construction projects.
