Job Context:
∎ The Logistics Officer in Ukhiya works under the supervision of the Logistics Coordinator in Ukhiya, and directly leads on general Logistics i.e. Warehousing, Asset management and Fleet. The positions will also be responsible for the general logistics activities for RI`s main hospital COVID19 response. This position requires accountability, flexibility, creative thinking and ability to meet deadlines.
∎ Reporting to: Logistics Coordinator, Ukhiya Office
∎ Department: Operations
∎ Expected Start Date: ASAP
∎ Contract length: Up to December 31, 2020.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Take lead on warehousing management, Assets and Fleet in accordance to donor and RI guidelines; HE/SHE should maintain up-to-date Inventory and assets reporting and documentation including sharing of weekly Inventory report to the hospital administrator and the management.
∎ Support effective document management and archiving practices as per RI requirements.
∎ Provide briefings to new staff members on RI Operations policies and procedures including pertinent donor rules and regulations as applicable
∎ Assess existing field office storage, inventory and fleet functions; make recommendations for improvements where necessary.
∎ Maintain a strong logistics team with friendly environment to work in.
∎ Maintain an up-to-date inventory report, Assets and GIK reports.
∎ Develop and conduct internal trainings on technical warehousing and assets management.
∎ Provide technical and operational support to staff, as well as advise on application Logistics management best practices, systems and procedures
∎ Participate on the bid evaluation committees where necessary or required, ensures the integrity of the competitive process, and exercises appropriate judgment and tact while ensuring to protect confidential information
∎ Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 2-4 years of experience in logistics, administration, procurement, preferably in iNGOs
∎ Able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
∎ Willingness to travel to field sites and work extensively - sometimes at short notice, in difficult places and under long hours
∎ Able to work independently and within a team.
∎ Diligent in work processes.
∎ Flexible in schedule, attitude and work prioritization.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google software, particularly Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, MS Word and MS Excel.
∎ Fluency in English

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
