Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC "Provide Access to Quality, Inclusive and Gender-Responsive Education for Rohingya Children and Adolescents (3-18) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the Myanmar Curriculum (KG-Grade 12) in Cox’s Bazar” Project funded by UNICEF.

The program is implemented with the objectives of creating a safe and protected child-friendly environment and providing quality basic education to some 99,461 Rohingya children in the Thirteen refugee camps (Camps 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, and 27) and makeshift involving communities through the following achievements:

·        Ensure enrollment of 5000 Rohingya children in ECE.

·        Ensure enrollment of 83,028 learners in Myanmar Curriculum Primary for primary school-aged children .

·        Ensure enrollment of 11,433 learners in Myanmar Curriculum Secondary in secondary school-aged children.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for smooth operation of Total Store & Logistic Management of the Program.

  • Monitor and delegate assigned tasks by the Programme Manager.

  • Ensure daily interim control on the issuing of item/material.

  • Ensure that all items should be received through maintaining GRN (Goods Receive Note) and items should be received through challan.

  • Solve any discrepancy raised by the inventory/ audit section.

  • Liaise with Line Maintenance on requirement and placement of outstation stock.

  • Maintain good housekeeping of the working/ stores area.

  • Ensure that binned items have no external physical damage and are attached with correct part number, correct physical quantity, service able labels and shelf-life labels (if applicable) or else, raise SDR.

  • Monitors the warehouse as per Quality Assurance requirement and ensure approval/ released items are binned under the correct storage conditions.

  • Responsible for maintaining proper books of records in connection to the procurement, delivery and the stock register.

  • Make a frequent or periodical visit in all warehouse at Project Office and other Offices and prepare a list of damage items or requisite items for the project purpose to notify the project management for further action. If necessary inform UNICEF concern personnel or HO concern personnel.

  • Ensure the maintenance of all supporting documentation and requisite authorizations in accordance with UNICEF and CODEC rules & regulations throughout the procurement process.

  • Assist Programme Manager while reviewing the logistics component of field office budget proposals for consideration during budget review.

  • Manage Official Vehicles for day-to-day use.

 Technical activities:

  • Provide technical and operational support to the field office, as well as advice on application of logistics management best practice, systems and procedures.

  • Develop key performance indicators by which localized logistics contracts can be managed.

  • Organize and conduct training, workshops and refreshers for the field teams (Supervisor, teachers, and volunteers).

  • Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas and systems.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas and concepts in written and oral form.

  • Proven ability to plan, manage and monitor the effective use and safekeeping of fixed assets and financial resources

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
