Job Context:
∎ Dwip Unnayan Sangstha (DUS) is a philanthropic organization DUS working in coastal region and offshore islands of Bangladesh. DUS operates Microfinance programs and development projects is currently looking for a dynamic and energetic person for the position of Livestock officer for its Agriculture and Livestock unit. This is a PKSF funded integrated unit working for agricultural and economical development of coastal inhabitants.
∎ Job Location: Noakhali District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The person will be responsible for:
∎ Planning and Implementation of field activity according to the program outline.
∎ Coordinate and support relevant stakeholders and farmers for effective livestock related services at DUS catchment area.
∎ Day to day communication with farmers and field staffs for appropriate livestock management and promotion.
∎ Facilitate small scale livestock promotion as a part of IGAs for the target group.
∎ Ensure regular monitoring, evaluation and research activities of the linked programs as per organizational protocol.
∎ Facilitate training for capacity building of the target group.
∎ Keep liaison with local administration and other relevant stakeholders and attend meeting as and when required.
∎ Formulation and submission of reports to all concern authority, respective government department and donors.
∎ Make correspondence with development partners and submit innovative concept note on new themes as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2-3 year(s) experiences at field level in Livestock Development projects/programs.
∎ Experience of working with NGos/Enterprise.
∎ Relevant experience of working in remote locations, specifically in coastal region and with grassroots community.
∎ Computer literacy, specially in of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet browsing.
∎ Experience in writing case studies and creative reports.
∎ Report writing and communication skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Note: Suitable Candidate from the permanent residents of Noakhali districts of Bangladesh will be given preference during selection process.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross 34,000-40,000 BDT.
