  • Able to draft legal texts in English and in Bangla·

As part of this growth, we are looking for experienced and capable professionals for the position of Legal Officer - Civil Matters.

  • Handle civil litigation matters including land, property, and recovery cases.

  • Provide legal opinions and advice on corporate, labor, and regulatory matters.

  • Prepare, review, and vet legal documents such as contracts, agreements, deeds, and notices.

  • Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, and other legal forums.

  • Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, deeds, and legal documents.

  • Dealing with all sorts of Corporate Affairs issue including liaison with various Government/Non-Government offices for permission, Licensing, approval, renewal etc., including sale/transfer permission.

  • Liaison with various govt. and non govt. organizations such as DC office, RJSC, RAJUK, RBSTI, BIDA, NBR, DUDOK, Environment, AC (Land) office, Tahshil office, Sub-Registry office, RAJUK, Ministry of Housing & Public Works, National Housing Authority etc.

  • Capable of conveying a clean and transparent efficient chain of ownership including land purchase, drafting deeds and assessing the authenticity of third-party ownership claims, collection and maintenance of all land related documents, deeds and deeds, records, and ownership.

  • Liaison with Thana in regard to GD, FIR, warrant execution etc. all over the Country on behalf of the Company.

  • Prepare legal notices, General Diary (GD), Complaints, petitions, written statements, written objections, replies to legal notices and relevant show cause and all other drafting’s in Bengali and English.

  • Checking terms of standard agreements against Company Policy and terms of standard forms.

  • Amendments to/ extension of existing agreements.

  • Analyze legal issues and apply relevant laws to represent in court and other legal proceedings, drafting, document file preparation such as pleadings, agreements, appeals, miss-appeals, compromise settlements and other necessary documents to interpret regulations in judicial decisions.

  • Handle case preparation, file management.

  • Coordinate with external lawyers and follow up on case proceedings

  • Provide legal opinions and advice on civil and corporate matters

  • Handle litigation, arbitration, and coordination with external lawyers

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

  • Manage legal notices, cases, and correspondence with courts and authorities

  • Support management in risk assessment and legal decision-making

  • Reserve and keep up to date entire litigation/case files, Land files of the Company in proper manner.

  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Management of PPL.
