Securator Legal is a boutique law firm in Australia seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Legal Admin Assistant with excellent English drafting skills and experience supporting litigation and legal operations. The role involves document preparation, case coordination, scheduling, and administrative support for senior lawyers.
Key Responsibilities
A. Legal Documentation & Case Management
Draft, format, edit, and proofread legal documents including letters, notices, pleadings, agreements, contracts, deeds, and internal reports.
Maintain and update case files, registers, and document repositories (digital and physical).
Manage the issuance, receipt, and tracking of legal notices, replies, and related correspondence.
Assist with litigation workflows: case tracking, document bundling, submissions, and follow‑ups with courts and tribunals.
B. Court, Chambers & Regulatory Coordination
Liaise with litigators, advocates, law chambers, and relevant government offices.
Coordinate filing, hearing schedules, certified copy collection, and court‑related deadlines.
Assist with company secretarial tasks: incorporation, regulatory filings, license renewals, statutory documentation, and compliance tracking.
C. Administrative & Executive Support
Manage calendars, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for partners/senior counsel.
Prepare minutes, summaries, briefs, and action lists for internal and external meetings.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all legal and business information.
Organise structured digital and physical filing systems for quick retrieval.
D. Technical & Presentation Support
Prepare professional Word documents, Excel sheets (data entry, analysis, tracking), and SharePoint document management.
Manage inboxes, shared drives, and internal communication channels.
Ensure consistency, proper formatting, and document version control.
Qualifications
Education
LLB or LLM (required).
Experience
At least 1 year relevant experience (3–7 years preferred).
Experience with legal files, litigation coordination, document management, and communication with lawyers/chambers.
Experience in fast‑paced professional environments (e.g., corporate, start‑up) is an advantage.
Skills
Excellent English proficiency — written and spoken, with legal drafting ability.
High‑accuracy English typing.
Strong competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and ClickUp.
Email and document management capability with strong attention to detail.
Advantageous: basic graphics skills (Photoshop/Illustrator).
