• Age At most 45 years

• Have 4/5 years of progressive experience as a Legal Associate, specializing in high-level legal research, drafting complex documents including international agreements and writ petitions, and providing strategic legal advice across corporate, constitutional, and labor law.

• Key competencies include exceptional Legal Research, Drafting, Communication, and Advocacy skills, in complex regulatory and policy environments.

• Age limit may be considered as per Candidate’s experience.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 15 projects.

DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Legal Expart of "Advocacy campaign project for front of package labeling (FOPL) in Bangladesh" Project implemented by Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), funded by Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK)-Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI).

Job Responsibilities:

• Mapping all the policies, legislations, and other necessary documents that’s need to be analyze.

• Reviewing/analyzing of all relevant documentations including but not limited to: National Food and Nutrition Security Policy (NFNSP) 2020-2030, National Nutrition Policy 2015, National Food Policy 2006 National Food Policy Plan of Action (POA) 2021-2030, neighbor countries policies, other relevant policies and legislations, or any other documents that are available and used as best practices.

• Identifying the gaps in the existing law and preparing standard recommendations for targeted advocacy

• Analyzing what will be the benefits for public health and country as well; what will be the challenges/barriers and the way forward.

• Recommendations for the appropriate/necessary measures to mitigate risk factors, loopholes of the current policies;

• Share the first draft report of legal analysis / policy brief paper.

• Compile feedbacks, developing and finalizing the report/paper.

• Submit the final paper.

• Develop a policy positioning/brief paper.

• S/he will present policy-relevant information and identify regulatory gaps concerning FOPL in various advocacy meetings, workshops, and seminars to facilitate the necessary mobilization of policymakers and stakeholders.
