Job Context:
∎ As a Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for provide legal counselling and legal assist to CP, GBV client and protection cases with respect of survivor`s center approach and support cases who would like to pursue legally action with collaborate UNHCR protection representative.

∎ Reporting to: GBV Coordinator
∎ Department: Protection
∎ Expected Start Date: January 1, 2020.
∎ Contract length: Up to December 31, 2020.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide legal counselling and legal assist to CP, GBV client and protection cases whom referred from RI case management department, community centres and other referring organization from camp 4, camp 26 and 27.
∎ Support client who requested to pursue legally action with collaborate UNHCR protection representative
∎ Provide training/ workshop IHL and national legislation to RI staffs and other agency if required
∎ Produces and up-dates legal fact-sheets
∎ Helps to elaborate the key messages on IHL and participates in seminars, workshops and training courses when requested.
∎ Work closely with GBV coordinator, RI case managements department and Protection Program Manager, and produce monthly report or as requirement
∎ Coordinate with protection program colleagues and other RI program, HR, finance and operation.
∎ Participate with program reporting as required by supervisor and Protection Program Manager
∎ Any other responsibilities as requested by supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Familiar with CP, GBV, protection case management and experience working
∎ refugee
∎ Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of IHL and of national legislation
∎ Must adhere to GBV/CP Core Guiding Principles and international humanitarian principles and standards for GBViE/ CPiE
∎ Cultural awareness and sensitivity, prior experience in Rohingya camps is preferable
∎ Strong background and skills in facilitating trainings, coaching and mentoring others
∎ Competency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
∎ Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively in written and spoken English and Chittaginian (preferable)
∎ Enthusiasm to learn
∎ Optimistic and friendly
∎ Flexibility
∎ Excellent communication skill in Rohinya or Chittagonian and Bengali
∎ Good command in English, an asset


Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
