Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Description: To get training from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and operate the first ever Traffic Management Center (TMC) and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Bangladesh. Operators will get the privilege to work with international consultants and become experts on a new esteemed field, that is TMC and ITS. Operational period is for 3 years.
∎ Our requirement:
∎ 2/4 years of experience in any of the following -
∎ a) Worked as operator in Network Operation Centre (NOC) / Traffic management.
∎ b) Worked as operator of CCTV surveillance system of any factory / office / compound.
∎ c) Must also have strong IT skills knowledge in Microsoft Office and an understanding of any other Logistics systems that are required since Traffic Operations is very much a computer orientated job.

∎ Responsibilities include:
∎ a. Observe traffic incidents on traffic monitoring equipment (CCTV, Real Time Data, etc.)
∎ b. Once a traffic incident is observed, notification of incidents, communicate and coordinate the incidental information with authority.
∎ c. Provide information to motorists by displaying messages on Variable Message Boards (VMS) through our Traffic Management System, to advise the public of incidents, that may impact traffic flow.
∎ d. Input data into the database for incidents, construction, and maintenance activities impacting traffic flow. All information must be keyed in accurately and in a timely manner to prevent future delays or accidents.
∎ e. Compile reports of routine incident response activities, log daily, all major incidents, construction, maintenance, and unusual occurrences.
∎ f. Monitor the operation of the network by analyzing information from the traffic management systems, including CCTV, historic and predicted traffic patterns.
