Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory Medicine) & must be registered with the State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Highly professional and talented Lab Technician with at least 3 years of experience in performing routine tests or analysis on blood and other body fluids to record normal & abnormal findings in RI`s COVID 19 Hospital. Possess exceptional communication, documentation, team-work and time-management skills along with thorough knowledge of laboratory procedures and related equipment as well as health and safety regulations.
∎ Reporting to: Laboratory Coordinator
∎ Department: Health
∎ Expected Start Date: ASAP
∎ Contract length: Up to December 31, 2020.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Receiving, processing and analysing samples.
∎ Conducting tests on samples and experimental processes.
∎ Using, cleaning and maintaining various types of equipment.
∎ To adhere to the administrative and technical procedures in the laboratory.
∎ To record the receipt and results of all laboratory specimens and to ensure timely delivery to the Medical Doctor.
∎ To collect and supply laboratory data as required.
∎ To strictly follow health and safety procedures.
∎ To identify and possible improvements to laboratory services.
∎ To be responsible for the monthly lab request and to ensure a sufficient supply of laboratory reagents and materials and to maintain a stock control register.
∎ Any other assignment depending on the kind of the business
∎ IPC Management
∎ Ensure proper donning and doffing of PPE items.
∎ Conduct proper triage, early recognition and source control
∎ Supervise instrument processing
∎ Monitor waste management in the hospital
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least (3) years' experience in a laboratory
∎ Previous experience of international organization is an advantage.
∎ Computer skills: Microsoft word, Excel, Power point
Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
