Educational Requirements:
∎ M.Sc in Chemistry.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The candidate who has practical working experience in petroleum lab of ISO-17025 standard practicing/ accreditation from national authority will be preferable.
∎ Responsible & cooperate to analyze & overall supervise, manage the daily lab activities.
∎ Handling capability of all sophisticated analytical instruments with their background chemistry such as UV-Vis, GC, EDXRF, karl fischer titrator, potentiometric titrator and some aviation fuel test instruments.
∎ To have leadership ability to build up dynamic lab team to attain quality policy & objectives.
∎ Plan & Ensure all the instruments give correct results and performance checked by CRM after a interval.
∎ Responsible for Planning for calibration and maintenance all the equipment /instruments.
∎ Ability to prepare all kind of documents such as quality manual, MSP, SOP, OI and others for ISO-17025 Certification/ accreditation from respective authority.
∎ Ensuring customer service and ability to handle their complaints including root cause analysis and finally take corrective actions & follow up accordingly.
∎ Plan and ensure lab personnel proficiency test by taking part in ILC and record as report for future audit facing.
∎ Communicate with customers to determine what they require from products.
∎ Communicate with suppliers /vendors to collect quotation /offers for chemicals /spares items/ accessories and check feasibility assessment & purchase accordingly.
∎ Motivate & train lab chemists/ technicians in new methods/ new instrument technique of analysis with GMP and supervise the QC team to meet quality objectives.
∎ Develop and maintain instrument methods provide SOP accordingly as require.
∎ Comprehensively understand and implement the new/current ASTM/other methods utilized in the laboratory for petroleum products testing.
∎ Strongly support and promote quality policy and objectives goals that are unified with Laboratory management.
∎ Must have enough practical knowledge how to comply petroleum testing methods on their respective instruments technology.
∎ To perform calibration, verification and validation activities as per ISO standards.
∎ Liaison with customers for any query of quality and relevant works need to be done ASAP.
∎ Monitoring and follow up quality of the petroleum products and WTP.
∎ To face/ conduct a visit or audit by BPC/BSTI teams and other authority.
∎ Ensuring the sorting of lab personnel to build up shift team for optimum usage of manpower.
∎ Prepare lab budget and plan lab operation costing and analyzing feasibility of any items providing information.
∎ Report & Liaison with top management to implement the quality policy and goals as well as any other jobs assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Petroleum/Refinery/Chemical plant lab operation & Chemical processing training is preferable
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Refinery, Chemical plant or any kinds of process plants.
∎ Encourages laboratory performance through communication with lab staff management to promote empowerment and accountability.
∎ Develop and advise additional analytical tests to assist in solving refinery process (especially corrosion) related problems as well as for WTP operation.
∎ Excellent knowledge on liquid petroleum, LPG, aviation fuel and water management in terms of their test methods, techniques, test results and specifications for approving final QC reports.
∎ Must have knowledge on & ensure conformance with government regulations and policies for Automobiles fuels and aviation fuel.
