About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Software QA Engineer with a strong basics on testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our web and mobile applications. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify defects early, validate business requirements, and ensure smooth releases. Exposure to basic automation concepts or tools will be considered a plus. If you have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly then the below applies to you:

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, and technology dependencies, and develop solutions for test planning and execution;

• Plan & Develop Manual & Automated Testing for web based applications;

• Plan & Develop Manual & Automated Testing for APIs;

• Analyze product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria;

• Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans;

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UI/UX, and exploratory testing;

• Validate business logic, workflows, and edge cases;

• Identify, document, and track bugs using project management tools;

• Retest defects and verify fixes across environments;

• Collaborate closely with developers during feature development and release cycles;

• Collaborate with the squad to continuously refactor and improve the automation framework for reusability and speed;

• Assist developers and testers with root cause analysis and resolutions;

• Basic understanding of test automation concepts;

• Ability to assist or maintain simple automated test scripts (if needed);

• Exposure to tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or similar is a plus;

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop appropriate test solutions for varying technical components;

Requirements

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in CSE or relevant discipline from a reputed university;

• A minimum of 2 years of solid experience related software development where test planning and execution were a part of job responsibilities

• Experience with development and/or testing in PHP, JSON, REST, HTML versions, JavaScript, Microsoft TFS, VMware, Desktop Application Testing and Web Application Testing;

• Create a test plan, test case, and execute test cases in different tools;

• Experience with databases such as (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.) testing, maintenance and support;

• Experience in SQA and STLC principles, accompanied by a strong drive to generate quality software with a customer-based focus;

• Familiarity with low-level data protocols specifically CAN bus and TCP/IP related along with Vector CANoe and/or CANalyzer ECU and Network analysis tools is desirable;

Good to have:

• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies;

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines from a QA perspective;

• Should have proven project management experience, and experience with Project Management Software such as Trello, JIRA, or similar;

• Applicants should have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking skills, and be passionate about product management & UI/UX;

• Have a strong understanding of wireframing/user stories to actively participate in designing the user experience of the projects;

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities;
