Responsibilities & Context:
Borak Polytechnic Institute is seeking motivated and knowledgeable Junior Instructors to join our academic team. The selected individuals will be responsible for conducting theoretical and practical classes, assessing student progress, and contributing to various academic and administrative functions within the institution. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to begin their teaching careers and make a meaningful contribution in technical education.
1. Teaching, Learning, and General Duties
a. Conduct 22–26 hours of classes weekly, including lectures and tutorials
b. Prepare lesson plans/course outlines for approval by HOD
c. Conduct practical sessions and workshops
d. Prepare question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and publish results
e. Organize quizzes, class tests, and viva
f. Participate in exam invigilation and routine preparation
g. Guide LAB demonstrators and assist in LAB manual development
h. Implement innovative teaching techniques, including digital methods
i. Maintain student databases, prepare grade sheets, and build strong rapport with students
j. Assist HOD and Coordinators in academic and administrative tasks
k. Daily report submission to HOD and email update on assigned deliverables
l. Develop curriculum and conduct short/lifelong learning courses
m. Maintain chain of command and escalate issues appropriately
n. Participate proactively in institutional programs and activities
o. Support Principal and perform additional tasks as assigned
2. Student Counselling and Financial Engagement
a. Act as guide teacher for assigned batches
b. Conduct one-on-one counselling and maintain communication with guardians
c. Arrange parent meetings and allocate time daily for student counselling
d. Assist in revenue collection and encourage regular payment
e. Monitor student discipline and conduct
f. Supervise co-curricular and extra-curricular student activities
3. Industry Visit, Attachment, and Job Placement
a. Coordinate with industries for visits, seminars, and job placements
b. Ensure industrial attachment and supervise related reporting
c. Solve industry-related problems through student projects
d. Collaborate with the Career Placement & Planning (CPP) cell for student employment
4. Admission Activities
a. Support digital marketing for admissions
b. Conduct school visits and seminars for student data collection
c. Liaise with school authorities to promote admission
d. Train and monitor outdoor associates
e. Provide physical and phone counselling to prospective students and maintain reports
f. Participate actively in admission processes and enroll students if needed
