Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior Engineer to join our Commercial and Planning Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and planning capabilities, with a focus of supporting commercial operations and project planning activities. Proficiency in both Chinese and English is essential, as the candidate must be able to read, write, and interpret technical documents, including operation manuals and project specifications in Chinese, while effectively communicating in English for operational coordination and safety compliance. This role requires a solid understanding of engineering principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure project success. Prior experience is mandatory as the primary focus will on commercial and planning responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Operations Support:

• Assist in preparing and reviewing commercial documents, including contracts, invoices, and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Support the department in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning for projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Planning and Scheduling:

• Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and timelines in coordination with the planning team.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare reports and presentations on project status, milestones, and potential risks.

Communication and Coordination:

• Act as a liaison between the Chinese management team and local stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Translate documents, emails, and reports from Chinese to English and vice versa as needed.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure smooth operations.

Technical Support:

• Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Support the engineering team in resolving technical issues and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all commercial and planning activities, including contracts, invoices, and project reports.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the management team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist in conducting quality checks and audits to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to achieve project goals.
• Provide support to senior engineers and managers as required.

Language and Cultural Mediation:

• Utilize Chinese language skills to bridge communication gaps between Chinese and Bangladeshi teams.
• Facilitate cultural understanding and collaboration between team members from different backgrounds.
