Education:
∎ Good base knowledge of fabric properties, garment construction, and sewing techniques.
∎ Be highly skilled in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) as well as Outlook and Excel.
∎ Be able to work to tight deadlines and in a fast paced environment.
∎ Strong organizational skill and Willingness to receive supervision and feedback to enhance CAD design skills.
∎ A proactive approach to learning and growing within the role, seeking guidance when needed
∎ Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the UK design team and the local production team.
Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Multi-Product Expertise:
∎ Demonstrate proficiency in CAD software relevant to the garment industry.
∎ Create detailed and accurate Style CADs to capture the overall aesthetic of garment designs.
∎ Techpack Development:
∎ Work closely with the design team and Merchandisers to generate comprehensive Techpack CADs, incorporating specifications and details required for production.
∎ Collaborate with UK designers to ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards.
∎ Fabric and Trim Understanding:
∎ Apply knowledge of fabrics and trims to CAD drawings, considering their properties and limitations in the design process.
∎ Collaborate with the Technical team to ensure feasibility and practicality in production.
∎ Production Feasibility:
∎ Build and apply awareness of production processes and limitations to avoid designing products that cannot be efficiently manufactured.
∎ Communicate with the technical team to address any design-related challenges or modifications needed for successful production.
∎ Summary of role:
∎ We are seeking a talented and ambitious Junior CAD Designer to join our team in Bangladesh. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality CAD drawings for the garment industry, focusing on Style CADs and Techpack CADs under the guidance of the design team. The successful candidate should possess a strong foundation in CAD skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
