Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization providing humanitarian support to the Rohingya people at Bhasan Char. As part of its Health & Nutrition interventions in support with UNHCR & WFP, SARPV is implementing "Integrated nutrition interventions to address malnutrition among Rohingya refugees" project from 1st September 2022.
∎ Competency: Device operating, internet browsing for the basic communication.

∎ Job Location: Bhasan Char, Noakhali
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is responsible for the assessment and admission, registration, follow up of targeted beneficiaries and ensure proper counselling.
∎ Key Job Responsibilities:
∎ A) Ensure assessment of all targeted beneficiaries in facility:
∎ Welcoming the caregivers and beneficiaries warmly.
∎ Assessing the beneficiaries through rapid assessment.
∎ Train assigned volunteers who will conduct rapid assessment
∎ Assessing the beneficiaries through full assessment if meet the criteria and admitted the beneficiaries.
∎ B) Ensure adequate nutrition education and counselling sessions in the facility:
∎ Provide counselling (breastfeeding counseling, complementary feeding, hygiene, care of pregnant and lactating women) to in care beneficiaries.
∎ Following AAA (Assess, Analyze, Act) steps.
∎ Ensure the promotion of infant and young child feeding practice through the application of the IYCF protocol and Nutrition Harmonization strategy.
∎ Encourage caregivers with children with good nutritional status, so that they would maintain the same care all the time.
∎ Conduct training for lead mother/other BNF in case of absence of cooking demo promoter.
∎ C) Follow up visits in the nutrition center:
∎ Ensure follow up visit for the in care beneficiaries.
∎ Encourage the beneficiaries for maintaining IYCF practices.
∎ Follow up of the hygiene and sanitation practices.
∎ Inform the next follow up date to beneficiaries.
∎ D) Hygiene maintenance
∎ Maintain hygiene and cleanliness inside the IYCF corner.
∎ Hygiene materials are in place to be used where these are needed.
∎ Ensure smooth supply of cleaning materials to be used in maintaining center cleanliness.
∎ Provide hygiene related messages to beneficiaries.
∎ E) Reporting and recording:
∎ Submit daily, weekly and monthly report on IYCF and CMAMI activities.
∎ Proper documentation and recording.
∎ F) Abiding by organizational and donor policies and humanitarian principles
∎ The position is expected to uphold the values of SARPV
∎ She must learn about the donor policies and abide by it.
∎ Humanitarian Principles must be upheld in daily implementation.
∎ Implement all work-related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of the SARPV's staff and beneficiaries
∎ Perform any job related task assigned by Supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year's professional experience in CMAM is preferred.
∎ Ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in remote island area and live in basic conditions.
∎ Experience in Bhasan Char island will add value.
∎ Good communication and presentation skills
∎ Language: Must be proficient in English and Bangla in both writing and speaking.
∎ Speaking in Chittagong language is preferable.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
