As the BD Branch of SD Cargo Services SDN BHD (Malaysia), our core systems are managed by our Malaysian IT department. We require a versatile, "on-the-ground" IT Specialist to manage our local office infrastructure and act as a bridge between the local staff and our global tech team. This is a generalist role requiring both networking and hardware expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain the local office network (LAN, Wi-Fi, Routers, and Firewall).

• Manage hardware inventory including workstations, printers, scanners, and CCTV systems.

• Act as the first point of contact for local employees regarding software issues, VPN connectivity, and system access.

• Coordinate with the Malaysia-based IT department for system deployments, security audits, and software updates.

• Assist customers via phone or email regarding technical shipment tracking issues on our web portal.

• Ensure daily data backup and maintain strict cybersecurity protocols as per HQ guidelines.

• Manage local IT vendors and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to ensure 99.9% uptime.

Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or CSE.

Experience Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or networking.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows/macOS and common office software.

• Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Proactive attitude with the ability to handle technical tasks with minimal supervision.

• Good command of English to communicate effectively with the Malaysian technical team.
