Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

The Manager – Business Development (IT Solutions & Services) is responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning, client acquisition, and expansion of existing customer relationships. The role involves leading the sales team, managing key accounts, and developing go-to-market strategies for IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise software, and managed service solutions.

This position demands a blend of Technical understanding, Sales leadership, and strategic business insight to achieve revenue targets and strengthen the organization’s market position.

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Identify new market segments, partnerships, and growth opportunities in the IT solutions domain.

  • Forecast revenue, set sales targets, and monitor team performance to ensure consistent achievement.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key enterprise and government clients.

  • Conduct consultative sales discussions to identify customer needs and propose tailored IT solutions.

  • Manage high-value negotiations, RFP responses, and contract finalization.

  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline through continuous prospecting and client engagement.

3. Solution Positioning & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with technical and pre-sales teams to design and present comprehensive IT solutions.

  • Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns, events, and digital initiatives for lead generation.

4. Ensure alignment between client requirements and company offerings such as:

  • Enterprise Software & Collaboration Platforms; Cloud Solutions (Microsoft, AWS, Google).

  • Cybersecurity & Endpoint Security Solutions.

  • Data Center & Infrastructure Solutions.

  • IT Managed Services & Support Solutions.

5. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, train, and motivate the Business Development team to meet sales goals.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide mentorship to enhance sales effectiveness.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

6. Reporting & Business Intelligence:

  • Maintain and analyze sales reports, forecasts, and market trends to guide decision-making.

  • Ensure accurate use of CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce) for tracking opportunities.

  • Present regular performance and strategy updates to senior management.
