Responsibilities & Context:

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading NGOs, with a focus on responding to displacement, have been registered in Bangladesh since 2013. In 2017, in response to the Rohingya influx, DRC launched an integrated program of support to the government in site management, shelter/NFI and protection. In 2018, DRC started implementing aid projects in support of the host communities most affected by the influx of refugees. As a key part of this, DRC opened an area office in Cox’s Bazar, and a country office in Dhaka.

POSITION PROFILE

  • The Information Management (IM) & Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective information management systems and communication strategies within the DRC Bangladesh Rohingya Response. The position combines expertise in data management and analysis with communication and Communication related responsibilities also contributes to advocacy to enhance program quality, visibility, and donor engagement.

  • This role involves the design, implementation and optimization of information management workflows and processes in alignment with sector needs, while simultaneously developing and implementing communication strategies that enhance DRC’s visibility, advocacy, and media outreach. The IM & Communications Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that programmatic interventions are evidence-based, well-documented, enabling effective communication to internal and external stakeholders.
