1. Patient Assessment: Conduct initial physical exams, record medical histories within 24 hours of admission, and authorize urgent diagnostic investigations.

2. Ward Rounds: Conduct regular, daily in-patient rounds to monitor progress and adjust management plans as advised by the primary consultant.

3. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient charts, progress notes, prescriptions, and prepare timely discharge summaries.

4. Emergency Response: Provide immediate, first-line medical interventions during acute medical or surgical emergencies until specialists arrive.

5. Coordination: Serve as the primary bridge between consultants, nursing teams, patients, and their attendants
