Job Context:
∎ Timeframe: The consultant is expected to work for a total of 108 working days. The total duration of the assignment will be for maximum 8 months after signing of the contract. Commencement of the services is expected to be started by mid-February 2022.
∎ Objectives/Context: The assignment will contribute to the overall approaches of the DFCD and SNV. The consultant is primarily responsible for providing technical, policy, and programming implementation support and oversight, and knowledge and capacity development services pertaining to Climate Change and business cases. The role is expected to coordinate all internal and external parties on the assessment of landscape challenges opportunities, and priorities especially in the Ganges delta. The tasks are to be performed under the guidance and supervision of SNV`s DFCD Business Development Advisor. Furthermore, the ESG advisor will work in consultation with other Landscape Specialist (global), DFCD Advisors and company/sponsor designated staff to each origination project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The applicant's experience & knowledge on GIS RS, agriculture/ environmental/ ecological, anthropology, international development, or other relevant fields (Master's degree); at least 5 years of proven experience in performance of similar assignments; and relation with climate change, landscape assessment in agriculture transforming and integrated planning; strong network relationship with donors, policy makers, national/ sub-national stakeholders, scientific institutes supporting/ working for the Ganges delta; Good technical inception/proposal writing skills, communication and engagement skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate strategic training/consulting/communicating with a multi-stakeholder environment from small households to national levels, and media community.
