Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Animal Husbandry DVM MS in Poultry Science from any recognized Agricultural University
∎ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in DVM .
∎ Diploma (Vocational) in Animal Husbandry, Diploma (Vocational) in poultry.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for ensuring the prevention and control of diseases within the layer farm. This includes designing and implementing a vaccination schedule, biosecurity protocols, and monitoring the health of the birds.
∎ Responsible for overseeing the overall management of the layer flock. This includes managing the nutrition of the birds, maintaining proper lighting and ventilation, ensuring proper egg collection and storage, and managing the breeding program.
∎ Responsible for maintaining accurate records of the flock's health, including vaccination schedules, treatments, and mortalities. These records will be used to inform decision-making and improve flock management.
∎ Responsible for training and supervising other farm staff in animal health and welfare practices. They will also ensure that all staff comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
∎ Responsible for developing an emergency response plan in case of disease outbreaks or other emergencies. They will also be responsible for implementing this plan and coordinating with relevant authorities as necessary.
∎ Ensuring monthly target achievement of production.
∎ Provide requisition at the store at just in time with budget.
