The project, "Formalization of Plastic Recycling Value Chain by forming Recycling Business Units in Bangladesh," is part of the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP) under the Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia (PLEASE) initiative. It aims to reduce plastic waste by establishing Recycling Business Units (RBUs) across Bangladesh.

Responsibilities & Context

• Identify parts and material needed to fulfil the maintenance and communicate effectively to facilitate the material’s availability.
• Ensure that full and complete maintenance and repair records are maintained to facilitate planning and analysis.
• All the machinery maintenance, crusher machine blade disassembling, sharpening, and reassembling. 
• Assist the production department for checking the bottle and quality issues.
• Handling all maintenance tools as per 5S procedure.
• Prepare a daily report on various activities encompassing incidents, delay justifications, and observations.
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Conduct preventive maintenance work and machine-related development work.
• Establish clear and measurable performance expectations and hold team members accountable for developing the goals.
