A Hospital Manager / Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and management of a hospital or health facility’s operations. They ensure efficient daily functioning, high-quality patient services, and smooth inter-department collaboration.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
Oversee daily hospital operations, including both clinical and non-clinical areas.
Ensure coordination between departments (e.g., nursing, outpatient, emergency, pharmacy, housekeeping).
Implement hospital policies, SOPs, standard workflows and ensure compliance.
Staff Management
Supervise managers and staff across multiple departments.
Prepare work schedules (rosters), approve leave, track attendance.
Motivate, coach, and evaluate performance of teams.
Administrative Leadership
Act as a liaison between hospital leadership, doctors, staff, and external stakeholders.
Assist hospital directors in planning, meetings, reporting, and policy implementation.
Organize staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Patient Service Oversight
Ensure patient-friendly service delivery and resolve patient complaints promptly.
Monitor quality of care and service standards across departments.
Financial and Resource Coordination
Support budgeting, resource allocation, equipment supply and inventory monitoring.
Oversee operational costs and help optimize resource use.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure regulatory compliance with health care laws, safety procedures, and hospital policies.
Coordinate with quality assurance, facility management, and emergency preparedness teams.
