Job Context:
∎ Project title: ENHANCING NUTRITION SERVICES TO IMPROVE MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH (ENRICH).
∎ This is a consortium led by World Vision Canada alongside Harvest Plus and Micronutrient Initiative-MI was selected by the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada-DFATD, to implement the ENRICH project in Bangladesh, Tanzania, Kenya, Pakistan and Burma. The overall objective of the project is to contribute towards a reduction in maternal and child mortality in the targeted areas. Over a period of 48 months, the project will primarily target mothers and new born children with intervention that will result in improved delivery of essential health services, increased consumption and utilization of nutritious foods and strengthened governance, policy and public engagement on MCHN.
∎ In Bangladesh, the project will target 5 Upazillas of Thakurgaon district located in the northern Bangladesh. ENRICH will aim to address maternal, child health, nutrition (MCHN) gaps, in Thakurgaon district targeting at least 404,343 people including pregnant, lactating women, under 5 children and marginal farmers. It will specifically address the basic nutrition and nutrition sensitive issues such as stunting, anemia and wasting through increased use of IFA, MMNPs, Bio fortified food (zinc rice), diet diversification, kitchen gardening and capacity building for the community, engaging government to work for improvements on health policy and the community health workers system.
∎ This position will report to Project Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure overall implementation of activities at sub district level and coordinate with upazila administration on regular basis.
∎ Coordinate with the consortium members to ensure their contributions to deliver activities efficiently and effectively.
∎ Work closely with the community and the consortium members in delivering basic nutrition and sensitive nutrition services and share reports timely.
∎ Ensure monitoring & evaluation, networking and coordination, communications with sub district government Health focal point, capacity building for project staff as well as government health staff working under sub district for delivering basic nutrition, sensitive nutrition services, consumption & utilization of nutritious foods & supplements and strengthen capacity of the community and government health staff.
∎ This position requires frequent field visits, confidence on writing qualitative reports.
∎ Strengthen governance policy and public engagement of MNCH through building capacity of government health staff and community health workers at upazila level.
∎ Ensure participatory Monitoring & Evaluation system.
∎ Manage Upazila team and build their capacity.
∎ Networking and linkage with consortium members, local government, WV regional office and WV national office.
∎ Documentation and reporting.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 33 years
∎ 5 year of experience in managing donor funded projects.
∎ Clear understanding on basic nutrition and nutrition sensitive services.
∎ Knowledge on project management.
∎ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
∎ Leadership and managerial skills.
∎ Ability to be a self-starter who is able to motivate team members to achieve common goals.
∎ Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple deadlines.
∎ Communications and networking.
∎ Good command in English & Bengali both in writing and speaking.
∎ Decision making and conflict resolution skills.
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation.
∎ Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation.
