Job Context:
∎ The Health Educator will be responsible for teaching beneficiaries and caretakers about behaviors that promote wellness.
∎
∎ Duty Station: Ukhiya (Kutupalong Refugee Camp- Camp 3 )
∎ Report To: Nutrition site supervisor
∎ Expected Start Date: 1st April 2022
∎ Contract length: 31st December 2022 (With possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the guidance of the Nutrition site supervisor, the Health Educator will be responsible for-
∎
∎ To use the existing IEC materials to teach beneficiaries and caretakers about health and nutrition topics.
∎ Teach beneficiaries and caretakers how to manage existing health and nutrition conditions.
∎ Educate beneficiaries and caretakers about the importance and availability of health and nutrition services.
∎ Collect data related to health education activities and sharing with supervisor.
∎ Provide informal counseling and social support.
∎ Participate in cooking demonstration sessions.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar role.
∎ Ability to communicate with the Rohingya population.
∎ Demonstrated ability to live and work in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Ability to work within a tight timeframe.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skill and able to work in a multicultural team.
Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one Gross salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly Gross salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary
