This strategic leadership position is responsible for ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across our extensive plastics and stationery manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will lead the QC function with a focus on precision, process excellence, and continuous improvement—driving initiatives that safeguard product integrity, enhance customer satisfaction, and uphold the brand reputation of RFL. This role demands strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to align quality objectives with business growth.
Job Responsibilities – Head of Quality Control
Design and implement quality control protocols for incoming raw materials (e.g., paper, ink, plastic, metal components).
Lead, mentor, and develop the QC team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Oversee in-process quality checks to detect and correct defects during production.
Manage final product inspections to ensure customer-ready standards.
Conduct audits of production lines, storage areas, and packaging stations to ensure compliance.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and safety standards (e.g., non-toxic inks, child safety for school supplies).
Establish and maintain quality control policies, standards, and compliance systems specific to stationery products.
Work closely with production to reduce rework, scrap, and downtime.
Collaborate with R&D to improve product design for manufacturability and durability.
Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Allocate resources effectively to meet inspection and testing requirements.
Maintain and manage ISO or other relevant quality certifications.
Ensure proper documentation of all quality procedures and inspection results.
Coordinate with design and R&D teams to test and approve new products before mass production.
