Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and supervise the Underwriting Department.
Formulate and implement underwriting policies and procedures.
Review and approve underwriting decisions within delegated authority.
Ensure compliance with the Insurance Act, IDRA regulations and company policies.
Monitor underwriting profitability and portfolio performance.
Coordinate with Reinsurance, Claims, Marketing and Branches to ensure efficient business operations.
Develop underwriting guidelines and provide technical support to branch offices.
Prepare management reports and recommend risk management strategies.
