• Bachelor/Honors
• Masters

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related field.

• Age 30 to 45 years

• Preferred age: 30–45 years (relaxable for highly experienced candidates).

• In-depth knowledge of insurance underwriting principles.

• Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines of IDRA.

• Proficiency in underwriting software and risk assessment tools.

Experience:

• Must have 10 years’ experience as Head of Underwriter in a reputed Life insurance company.

• Professional insurance certification preferred.

• Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Job location: Head Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the underwriting department.

• Develop and execute underwriting policies, guideline and risk assessment frameworks.

• Evaluate high-value and complex insurance proposals.

• Improve underwriting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

• Prepare risk reports and recommend appropriate decision-making.

• Coordinate with actuarial, claims, and marketing teams.

• Train and guide underwriting officers and ensure quality control.
